The Team at Tampa Sailing Squadron is Working Hard to Make BNAC 2024 Unforgettable!

Hello Pirates!

With just 10 days left to snag the early bird discount, we already have 7 boats registered for this year's regatta. Don't miss this chance to save a few dollars and join the adventure Register now!

This year’s regatta will feature temporary vinyl numbers for all participants, ensuring easy identification without permanent sail numbers on our spinnakers. These one-time-use numbers are easily removable at the request of our PRO, Jerry Thompson.

The race committee is fully engaged, with a robust plan including a signal boat, a mark boat, and two additional safety boats to ensure well-run races. Our dedicated PRO and TSS are going all out to make this event exceptional.

To capture the excitement, two photo boats will be on course Friday and Saturday, snapping action shots and providing water and snacks. A comprehensive safety plan is being developed with the Vice Commodore of TSS to handle any health-related issues, ensuring everyone's well-being.

The shirt design is in progress, crafted by a talented TSS member who has created designs for past regattas. The fun kicks off Thursday with a welcome happy hour at Finn's restaurant, just 250 feet east of TSS, featuring discounted drink tickets.

Friday and Saturday nights will offer delicious dinners, from a summer picnic spread of hamburgers, hotdogs, and multiple salads (including vegan/gluten-free options) to a Latin feast with Ropa Vieja, black beans and yellow rice, plantains, Cuban bread, and assorted desserts.

Volunteers are already hard at work, ensuring that everything from on-shore duties to food preparation is handled smoothly. Donations and sponsors are still being finalized, and any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Another exciting event in the works is a rum tasting, featuring a Florida-based distiller. A big thank you to Heather for organizing this!

With TSS volunteers working tirelessly to ensure an exceptional experience, now is the perfect time to register. And let's not forget, Hunter Riddle from Schurr Sails is planning to join the competition—let's keep the pressure on him to attend!

See you all at BNAC 2024
