Benefits of Membership:


  • Membership dues in the Buccaneer Class Association contribute to promote the interests of all Buccaneer sailors
  • Eligibility to sail in the Buccaneer North American Championship (BNAC) and other sanctioned class regattas as scheduled.
  • Voting privileges: Owner membership entitles you to one class vote to support important Buccaneer class issues! Both Owners and Crew can become full members of the Class Association although, only owners are voting members.
  • Knowing that you are supporting your favorite one design class in its efforts to improve class development.
  • Members can post classified ads for free



What are my dues used for?

  • Organizing championship regattas
  • Paying Class administrative expenses such as website hosting and maintenance
  • Provide Class and sailing tips on multiple social media platforms
  • Advertising the class and the boat to enhance the class's exposure
  • Maintaining the Class Racing Rules
  • Publicizing class activities
  • Maintaining the class boat registry 


US Sailing member and MVP partner


The Buccaneer 18 class association is a US Sailing member and MVP partner! This means your personal US Sailing membership can give back to your class! Being an MVP partner enables your class to receive credits when you join or renew your annual US Sailing membership through the MVP Program. You’ll have access to discounted membership rates, and your class will earn credits to help strengthen sailing in your class across the country.  Benefits also include free access to the new Racing Rules of Sailing app, discounts from partners like Gill, Sailing World, charters with The Moorings, BoatUS, Sim Sailing, and many more!
