Evan Scott presenting the Patrick Folds Memorial Award with Smashes

Evan Scott Presentation

Honoring the enduring legacy and joyous sportsmanship of Patrick Michael Folds, this perpetual award was established at BNAC 2026 by Evan Scott. Conferred upon the winner of the final race of the championship series—and inaugurated by Bill and Janet Shoemaker—it commemorates friendship, grit, and the unforgettable spirit of Ship of Folds.

"For the rest of my life, I will never forget Patrick’s play-by-play commentary... listening to his pure joy as he watched his own boat power up against 'Wisconsin' to take the win." — Evan Scott, BNAC 2026
