Boats Provided by Alaska Sailing Club

Leave your boat and trailer at home! The Alaska Sailing Club will supply boats for the regatta, so there’s no need to tow your own. Just bring your sailing skills and enthusiasm—

Since you'll be racing in club-provided boats, be sure to pack the essentials:

  • A handheld waterproof VHF marine radio - ASC will a have few to loan

  • A small personal gear bag to carry items between boats

  • A personal PFD (life jacket) – club gear may be available, but many sailors prefer their own

  • Sailing gear suitable for a wide range of Alaskan weather conditions

 

Regatta Format
The races will take place on Big Lake, featuring a round-robin format It’s an exciting and dynamic way to ensure plenty of racing action for everyone! This format provides a level playing field where teamshavean opportunity to showcase their sailing skills. It will test teamwork, adaptability, and strategy, making for a thrilling and fair competition.



Tuesday, July 8
Check-In & Welcome

  • 10:00 AM – Registration opens

  • 10:00 AM – Open sailing & practice races

  • 3:00 PM – Mandatory Competitors Meeting

  • Evening – Banquet and National Meeting

Wednesday, July 9 – Saturday, July 12Round Robin Racing

  • First warning signal: Not before 2:00 PM

  • No race will start after 10:30 PM

Sunday, July 13Final Day & Awards

  • First warning signal: Not before 9:00 AM

  • No race will start after 12:30 PM

  • Awards Ceremony to follow

The ASC Hospitality Committee will be posting lodging recommendations on the ASC BNAC 2025 website, including options for VRBOs, hotels, RV rentals, and onsite tent/cabin accommodations.
